Winners of the 2020/21 Executive Award dedicated to the 7 human virtues.

Sergio Ermotti, Guido Damiani, Nicolas Girotto, Adam Stanford are among the winners of the 2020/21 Executive Award dedicated to the 7 human virtues. A virtuous Executive Award was held on Wednesday at the Hotel Villa Principe Leopoldo in Lugano, in the presence of institutions, media and many illustrious guests.

Managers and entrepreneurs met to share experiences, tell success stories and inspire continuous growth. This year the initiative is enriched by a "concept of leadership, which, after the vicissitudes inherent in the pandemic, cannot ignore virtuous behaviors in rewarding people", explains Rossella

Gargano, CEO of Garbo Management SA and organizer of the event.

"After the advent of the coronavirus continues Gargano, we have all been at the mercy of a kind of universal judgment and each of us had to reposition ourselves, fielding strong human and managerial skills".

Virtuosity and prowess were therefore the key evaluation criteria of the Ticino leaders.

The official jury of the 2020/21 Executive Award, conducted primarily by our Dr. Carlo Giardinetti Dean of Exectuive Education and Global Outreach Co-Director of the Taylor Institute and Guido De Carli, with Sara Rosso Cipolini, Mario Mantegazza and Paola Chiericati, awarded people who have therefore distinguished themselves for their virtues, assigning in particular one to each one of strength, prudence, temperance, justice, faith, hope and charity.

The selection began last year and the hundreds of nominations were proposed not only by the jury but also by the Alumni (ie the winners of the previous editions of the event). The other winners? Gracemarie Bricalli, Elisa Filippi and Tamara Erez.

The virtue of the robustness has been attributed to one of the "heroes of the pandemic", the cantonal doctor, Dr. Giorgio Merlani. The councilors of state Cristian Vitta and Norman Gobbi and the Honorable Badaracco also intervened on stage, conducted by Sara Bellini of TeleTicino.

During the evening, the edition of the Executive Award in Dubai was officially launched, to be held on February 15, 2022, in collaboration with the Swiss Consulate in Dubai and the Swiss Business Council. The event will be held in the Swiss Pavillon of Expo Dubai 2020 + 1 to promote the economic bridge between Switzerland and the Emirates.

Also invited the Swiss Ambassador to the Emirates and Bahrain, Massimo Baggi, to the Swiss Pavilion, who sent a video message. Created in Lugano, the Executive Award will travel to multiple business cities with the aim of attracting international people and companies.
